    GOT. DANG.
They serve up some really good burritos here. The first time, my hubs and I had the chile verde burrito and the ahogada carnitas burrito. Both were wrapped and then grilled so the tortillas had a nice toasty flavor. The chile verde was tender and spicy. The ahogadas burrito is a wet burrito topped with pickled onions and covered with mild salsa. It also comes with a side of a super spicy salsa that made my toes burn. Both were really tasty.
They provide warm chips and salsa along with a chilled bottled of water for the table. That bottle has Cuco's logo on it. I thought that was a nice touch.
On my return visit, I got the chicken mole burrito and that came topped with those pickled onions. Man it's good stuff!
Anyway, they do burritos really really well.
    Thank you, Cuco's!

This place deserves a whole lot of recognition! It's such a cute, hole in the wall restaurant but the flavor of the food is unlike any other burrito I've had. We live in the bay, so trust me, I've had a ridiculous amount of burritos LOL the seasoning in this burrito was different, maybe smokey? And I really like that they added good quality lettuce to the burrito and not the shredded, cheap iceberg lettuce that most burritos have.

Another thing I love: when they say spicy salsa they mean SPICY salsa. I love spice, I'm the spicy queen, so the spicier the better for me. And this definitely did the trick. It's a small restaurant, so there really isn't much seating, but the friendly staff and food make up for it I promise! The pricing is also really good, there is street parking, and a parking lot in the back.

Great burritos and super friendly service are what you'll find at Cuco's, located in a gritty area of Redwood City. But despite its location (attached to an adjacent laundromat), this restaurant has its own parking lot and a super modern setting! After starting with some less-than-impressive store-bought chips juxtaposed with some super fresh, spicy, tasty salsa, we moved on to the amazing burritos!

I had the chile relleno burrito, which was a pasilla pepper stuffed with Monterey Jack cheese stuffed into a burrito (inception!) along with refried beans, rice, veggies, and sour cream. While tasty, this meatless option did feel a little less than completely satisfying. But I also tried the shrimp fajitas burrito, which came with black beans, Spanish rice, veggies, monterey jack cheese, sour cream, and avocado sauce, and this combination really hit the spot! I absolutely loved that both of these burritos had been griddled, so that there was just the right amount of crispy caramelization on the tortilla shells!

Finally, I tried the A La Suiza de Pollo wet burrito, which was definitely a hit as well. Inside the burrito came shredded chicken, pinto beans, and rice, and it was all topped with a fantastic tomatillo salsa, along with refreshing lettuce, onion, tomato, queso fresco, and sour cream! Simply amazing!

The value, portion sizes, and quality ingredients here were just incredible, as were the super friendly ladies running the place. I'd definitely recommend a visit to experience a creative take on the more "typical" burrito you'd find elsewhere!

Insanely good Mexican food in a casual location with upscale touches. The asada burrito is awesome! I have it classic style with only beans, rice carne asada and salsa in a warm tortilla. Their added touch is a toasted crust thanks to the panini press.

Get the chips and salsa to start and enjoy your meal.
